What differs luck, fate, fortune and destiny?

Luck:
Luck refers to something happening at a given point of time out of sheer chance/surprise. An unexpected and unusual (having lesser probability) outcome of an event.

Example:
Lucky.
  • If you win a lottery.
  • If the catch is dropped by a player who usually does not drop any.
Fortunate:
Fortunate word is usually used for a situation in which a sequence of events has happened so fast enough that could not be recorded and  whose effect is going to last for a while. Used when some unfavorable outcome has been avoided for whatsoever reasons. Avoid bad luck.

Example:
If you survive an accident.

Fate:
Negative connotation. When something grossly wrong happens out of control of human intervention.

Destiny: Grand design in which the events unfolds in a way to take take you to your destination without your awareness.

Now food for thought:
what would you say to your parter:
Am I lucky to have you as my partner?
Or
Am I fortunate to have you as my partner?
